$42 million Manly Vale Public School upgrade opens

Release date: 26 January 2019

The excited students and teachers of Manly Vale Public School will be returning to start the school year in brand new facilities.

The $42 million project includes 40 new flexible classrooms, a new library, canteen, a covered outdoor learning area and a hall.

All classrooms and the library will be air conditioned as part of the NSW Government’s Cooler Classrooms program that is seeing air conditioning delivered in thousands of classrooms across the State.

The new facilities mean Manly Vale can now accommodate up to 1000 students, to cater for the growing local community.

With Manly Vale now complete, there is currently one more major upgrade being carried out in the Manly community with construction currently underway at Curl Curl North Public School.

Manly Vale Public School is one of 17 new and upgraded schools opening across NSW for the first day of the new school year.

Stage 2 of the major school building project will continue throughout 2019 to provide significant refurbishment of the existing administration building and upgrades to the school’s landscaping and play areas for students to enjoy.

The NSW Government is investing $6 billion over the next four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. In addition, $847 million is being spent on school maintenance over four years.
