Site secured for a new school in East Leppington area

Release date: 01 November 2018

Following the NSW Government’s announcement of a new school for the East Leppington community in June 2017, the site for the school has now been secured on the corner of Commissioner Drive and Willowdale Drive, within Stockland’s Willowdale development.

The project design is in progress and will be shared as soon as it is finalised.

The NSW Department of Education and Campbelltown City Council are working together to assess the feasibility of a joint use proposal for delivering a new multi-purpose community and performing arts facility.  The facility would serve as the school hall and meet the needs of a 1000 student capacity school.

The NSW Government is spending $6 billion over four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools. This includes an additional $160 million spend in 2018/19 as part of the record $747 million maintenance investment announced last year. This is the biggest investment in public school infrastructure in the history of NSW.
