Contract awarded for upgrade to Terrigal Public School

Release date: 02 August 2018

The major upgrade of Terrigal Public School is a step closer, with the construction contract awarded to North Construction and Building.

The project, which is part of the largest investment into public school infrastructure in NSW, is worth $10 million.

Due to be completed in late 2019, it will transform existing school facilities and deliver 10 new future-focused classrooms for the school community.

The redevelopment of Terrigal Public School is in response to projected growth in the local area and with the successful contractor appointed, the school community can expect construction to start very soon on the new facilities.

The NSW Government is spending $6 billion over four years to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools. This includes an additional $160 million spend in 2018/19 as part of the record $747 million maintenance investment announced last year. This is the biggest investment in public school infrastructure in the history of NSW.
