Asset Management – Fast Track Initiative

Release date: 27 July 2018

The Asset Management Fast Track Initiative supports schools in the planning and delivery of maintenance, minor works and school funded works.

From 1 July 2018, schools will have greater flexibility and choice to commission and undertake over 20 of the most commonly requested activities and works themselves or alternatively, continue to have the Asset Management Unit (AMU) undertake the works on their behalf.

A simple checklist will assist schools in ensuring the work is conducted in a safe and legally compliant manner. Applications for school funded works not currently on the list of approved activities will continue to be submitted to the AMU via AMS on the Web.

For schools that do not wish to self-deliver these projects, there is no change in the process.
