Waitara Public School upgrade

Release date: 14 March 2018

Students and teachers at Waitara Public School will benefit from a major upgrade that will provide new classrooms and facilities funded by the NSW Government.

Construction works will soon go out to tender for the project, which will include 37 new classrooms, a new hall, canteen and administrative space.

The upgrade will mean the school can accommodate up to 1000 students to meet increased enrolment demand in the local area.

Member for Ku-ring-gai Alister Henskens welcomed the project reaching this vital stage.

“We want our children to have the best education possible, and this project will help deliver the high quality education our children deserve,” Mr Henskens said.

“I’m pleased the NSW Government is delivering this important project.”

Education Minister Rob Stokes said the NSW Government was working hard to deliver the school facilities students and local communities need.

“This project will give students the resources they need to succeed in the 21stcentury,” Rob Stokes said.
