New primary school for Warnervale

Families in Warnervale will benefit from a new primary school to be built as part of the NSW Government’s record $4.2 billion school building investment.

Planning has commenced on the design of the new school, which includes 20 new future focused classrooms and facilities including a new hall with capacity for 1000 students and a new library.

The new school will accommodate up to 460 students, and help meet the anticipated growth in enrolment demand in the area.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Scot MacDonald MLC welcomed the project.

“We want to provide our children with the best possible education facilities now and into the future,” Mr MacDonald said.

“I’m pleased the NSW Government is delivering this important project.”

At my request, the  NSW Department of Education hosted a forum on Tuesday night in Warnervale for local school principals and P&C representatives to provide information on the need for a new primary school in the area. Education planners also explained enrolment projections and capacity at nearby High Schools.

Engagement with the community will continue as site selection and design details of the state-of- the-art facilities are finalised.
