New Coolah Central School facilities on track

Release date: 30 November 2017

Students at Coolah Central School will benefit from a major upgrade to the school’s industrial technology facilities that will deliver new state of the art woodwork and metalwork facilities in time for the start of the 2018 school year, thanks to the NSW Government.

Member for Barwon Kevin Humphries visited the school today to inspect the construction work currently underway, which will give the school’s industrial technology students the resources they need to excel at school and in the years ahead.

The school’s existing metalwork facility is being replaced with a new modern wood and metal technology workshop, and the existing woodwork area is being refurbished as part of the $2.1 million project.

Mr Humphries said the project will make a real difference to the outstanding students and teachers at Coolah Central School.

“These specialist workshops will be fitted out with the latest tools and technology to provide the best possible environment for students to learn these important skills” Mr Humphries said.

“I am delighted that the NSW Government is delivering top-quality school facilities for our students.”

Education Minister Rob Stokes said these new industrial technology facilities are a great example of how the NSW Government is delivering the best possible learning environments for students in Barwon and right across the NSW.

“Projects like this are providing the top quality facilities our students need to succeed in the 21st century,” Rob Stokes said.
