Empire Vale Public School

Our school is a small rural school located on the Far North Coast of NSW. Our aim is to provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for our students that maximises their learning and personal development outcomes. Our small size is one of our special attributes and we ensure our students are provided with a wide and varied range of educational experiences in all learning areas. The school is an important focal point of the community and it enjoys excellent support from parents and members of the community for all school activities whether they be cultural, sporting or academic events. Our students also have the advantage of a greater peer network through the school's participation in the Southern Cross Community of Small Schools Learning Community which provides an extended range of opportunities and activities such as debating, spelling bees, public speaking and science initiatives. For a small school we get great results. Examples of this include a student chosen to attend the World Leaders Forum in USA, Family Magazine Kids Page Editor, winners of the National Picasso Cow competition and national recognition for our students' photography.
