Expression of interest for renewable energy in schools

An Expression of Interest (EOI) process has now been completed for proposals to finance, install, operate and maintain renewable energy solutions across 2,200 public schools in NSW.

The non-binding EOI process was managed by SINSW as part of the Smart Energy Schools Pilot Project.

A number of EOI responses have now been shortlisted to proceed to a potential Request for Tender (RFT) process that will take place later this year, subject to a final assessment and approval from the NSW Government.

The RFT will be seeking binding proposals to finance, install and operate solar and battery energy storage systems across the state’s public schools as part of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), or other potential alternative models.
