Quandialla Central School is a small K-12 central school located in rural southwest-central NSW. The school is a member of the Lachlan Network of schools. The school mission is "Together we provide opportunities to succeed". The school has a strong tradition of student success in academic, sports and co-curricular areas. Students consistently achieve success in swimming, athletics, public speaking and debating and eisteddfods. Our students achieve success at local, regional and state levels and are acknowledged as responsible citizens within the community. Quandialla Central School provides a high quality and comprehensive education in a dynamic learning environment, enabling students to complete schooling from Kindergarten to Year 12 on the one campus. Our students are taught by highly qualified and experienced staff. Areas of staff expertise include literacy and numeracy; creative and performing arts; music; technology in teaching and learning, and vocational education. Secondary staff members are experts in their subject areas. Primary staff members are experts in teaching multi-stage classes. Primary and Secondary students study the NSW Board of Studies curriculum. Students learn in technology rich classrooms where integration of technology in teaching and learning is a feature. Our focus is on providing a curriculum which is relevant, engages students and addresses their individual needs. The school participates in the Lachlan Access Program, providing Year 12 students with opportunities to study a broad range of subjects. LAP lessons utilise connected classrooms and interactive technologies and enable students to develop independent learning skills. Secondary students may also elect to study Vocational Education and Training courses including Hospitality and Primary Industries. Quandialla Central School provides a safe and caring learning environment for students. The proactive Learning Support Team coordinates resources to ensure students' individual learning needs are met. Our student welfare system provides ongoing support for students and families. The school is very well resourced and has excellent facilities. All teaching areas have wireless internet access and technology for teaching and learning. Secondary students utilise DER laptop computers in all courses. Primary classrooms have wireless internet access points and Primary students are provided with laptop computers. There is a strong focus on utilising technology in Primary classes. Facilities include extensive and attractive grounds; school library with extensive resources; school farm and agriculture facilities; Hospitality and Metals Trade Training facilities, and indoor sports facilities.
