Nundle Public School

Nundle Public School is a centre piece of the beautiful village of Nundle. The school has been established for some 130 years and continues to provide an excellent education to children from the local village and surrounding properties. Whilst Nundle is 60km from the nearest city of Tamworth, students do not feel the effects of isolation. The school provides excellent opportunities in the arts and sport. Local community members are heavily involved in extending the educational opportunities of our students. Nundle has excellent facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool opposite the school, tennis courts next to the school, a town oval also situated next to the school, an excellent park opposite the school which often serves as an extension of the playground and a golf course and bowling green 5 minutes walk from the school. Nundle Public School provides students with an individualised education in a small and caring environment, where every teacher knows every student and the community has a real stake in providing an education to our future leaders. Nundle Public School upholds its motto of 'Honour, Industry and Truth' in all aspects of day to day school life. New students are made feel very welcome and quickly become part of a vibrant school. Students are encouraged to participate in all extra curricular activities including sport and afternoon music lessons. Nundle also has many community run activities for students such as swimming club, pony club, Saturday tennis lessons, town cricket matches and athletics in one of the nearby villages. The Great Nundle Dog Race is a major event run by the P&C and raises thousands of dollars for the school every year. All parents and carers are encouraged to become involved in this event.
