Expression of interest now open for round three of the $10 million Sustainable Schools Grants program

Release date: 16 November 2021

NSW public schools are being encouraged to submit Expressions of Interest for the third round of a four-year grants program that helps students to develop innovative sustainability projects at their schools.

The Sustainable Schools Grants program, led by School Infrastructure NSW, empowers students and schools to make their learning environments more sustainable.

The program is open to all NSW public schools and preschools, and provides up to $15,000 to deliver hands-on, sustainability focused projects that link to the NSW curriculum. Up to $2.5 million in funding is available in this third round of Sustainable Schools Grants.

Projects may include, but are not limited to, initiatives to improve biodiversity and connect students to nature; resource efficiency (energy, water, waste); environmental education; behavioural change projects; and capacity building projects.

The EOI stage will close Friday 5 pm, 26 November 2021 with compliant applicants to be invited to apply for the next application stage in Term 1 2022.
