Construction begins on hydrotherapy pool at Yawarra Community School

Release date: 23 July 2019

Education Minister Sarah Mitchell visited Yawarra Community School today to celebrate the beginning of construction of its hydrotherapy pool.

The indoor hydrotherapy pool will complement the new school for students with special needs which opened in Dubbo earlier this year.

Ms Mitchell said she was pleased to mark the start of the $3.8 million construction work on the hydrotherapy pool and accessible car park with a sod turn ceremony.

The new Yawarra Community School includes four state-of-the-art classrooms, a gym and special program facilities for up to 40 special needs students from Kindergarten through Year 12. The hydrotherapy pool is the final stage of the project and is being provided for school and community use.
