Dubbo Networked Specialist Centre construction contract awarded

Release date: 19 April 2018

The local community will benefit from the new Dubbo Networked Specialist Centre that will provide high-quality teaching and learning facilities for students with special needs funded by the NSW Government.

The construction contract has now been awarded for the project, which will include four new state-of-the-art classrooms, a gym and facilities to provide specialist services such as speech and occupational therapy.

The centre will be located on the grounds of Dubbo West Public School.

Member for Dubbo Troy Grant welcomed the project reaching this vital stage.

“We all want our children to have the best education possible, and these works will help deliver the high quality education the children who attend this centre deserve,” Mr Grant said.

“I’m pleased the NSW Government is delivering this important project.”

Education Minister Rob Stokes said the NSW Government was working hard to deliver the school facilities students and local communities need.

“This project will give students the resources they need to succeed in the 21stcentury,” Rob Stokes said.
